International Check Processing System

Tangent’s International Check Processing System (“ICPS”) allows financial institutions and processors to quickly and accurately read, reconcile, encode and sort both in-clearings from other institutions and deposit batches from branch banks. The ICPS software was designed to be adaptable to different check MICR formats and currencies, making it uniquely suited for multinational banking operations.

ICPS identifies the branch and customer account associated with each check and generates a file for automatic posting to the host. A variety of reports are included in the standard product. Many of these reports can be locally customized using an off-the-shelf report formatter to meet corporate and bank regulatory requirements.

The ICPS software is built on Tangent’s proven DocuTran II software, which provides an extraordinary degree of flexibility. DocuTran II was designed to also support non-check applications, including remittance payments, stock proxies, coupons, Giros, lottery tickets, credit card sales drafts and many other types of documents. While ICPS does not provide these other capabilities directly, the DocuTran II software licenses included in the ICPS product make it remarkably affordable to add other applications in the future.
